Did you know...
- The Actor is cast out of solid bronze!
- Weighs approximately 13 pounds after it's completed.
- Is made using the lost-wax method, which involves (among a lot of other things) making a wax mold of the Actor, creating a ceramic shell for the mold, then filling the shell upside down with molten bronze! Afterward, the ceramic shell is chiseled away to reveal a shiny new bronze Actor. The Actor is placed on its pedestal after a few finishing touches and is put aside for show day.
- It takes about 40 hours of labor to produce all the Actors needed for the show.
