Planning on attending LA Film Fest (LAFF) events? 74 features, 60 shorts, and 50 new media projects will be showcased at this year's LAFF on June 10-18 at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. The participating films are from nearly three dozen countries and range from low budget to large-scale productions with veteran and first-time directors alike.
Competition Categories
- US Fiction: Showcases original film content from up and coming as well as established US independent filmmakers.
- Documentary: Features moving and influential non-fiction films from both the US and around the world.
- World Fiction: Includes unique and innovative films from around the world specifically targeting LA audiences.
- Buzz: LA film premieres of works already praised around the world.
- Short Films: Category includes short films from 15 different countries.
- Zeitgeist: A new category focusing on coming of age stories and young adult themes.
- Nightfall: A new category that focuses on creepy thrillers, pyschodramas, and strange grotesque films.
- LA Muse: A new category with films centering around Los Angeles created by both up and coming and established filmmakers.
